19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hardcourt

A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a torrid season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.

His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him exiting of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.

Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.

This marks his initial title since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court from that period of that year.

Success also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 various competitions.

"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a championship is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in that event earlier this year.

The player's counter-punching strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was over.

Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the last five exchanges to go ahead.

The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour victory, took control to force a third set.

Moutet rescued 4 early-game chances in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.

Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
